The End of the Scandal
An independent investigation research concerning to the big fraud scandal at Tokwiro Enterprises’ Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet online poker rooms has been finished by the official announcement by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. The former New Jersey Gaming Commissioner, Frank Catania gave the answers to the questions troubling online gambling community.
The main question which all the people asked was the names of the cheaters involved into the scandal. The consequences of this fraud are really shocking; during the 38 months over 60 million dollars have been stolen. At the beginning of the research Kahnawake Gaming Commission told only that it was the former employee. The most interesting detail of the scandal is that the main hero is Russ Hamilton, the former owner of Ultimate Bet and World Series of Poker champion. Hamilton was the “chief perpetrator” and not the only member of this mass speculation, he knew about all the frauds and people involved.
Certainly the majority of people will be greatly surprised to hear this news. But there were some suspicions and gossips about involving Russ Hamilton to the scandal in gamblers community. People interested much in online games, who had their own poker blogs paid rapt attention to this figure, especially after the Ultimate Bet fiasco. Some of the players have even told about his “scumminess” which is absolutely clear now.
After this report Kahnawake proclaimes that it guarantees that all the gamblers, who has beard looses will be totally refunded by November 7, 2008. Ultimate Bet has already paid back 6.1 million dollars. The Commission realizes the strict control of the Ultimate Bet activity, UB has to give everyday reports regarding player activity, submit all software et cetera. But the main thing is that UB will pay a $1.5 million fine.
